A Bear Journey, part one...

Once upon a time there lived a Bear. He spent his life wandering from cave to cave. He met many intresting folks along the way, had many a fine adventure. ...But something was missing in his life, something, or someone... You see, for all his wanderings, all his doings, all his meeting and associating, he was still a very lonesome Bear.
He went to the Great High Mountain, seeking the old Medicine Man, seeking a reading...
Seeking a Prayer, a Smoking, a telling of his troubles...
But when he reached the top of the Mountain, the Medicine Man wasn't there, he had gone off somewhere, but he had left a small fire going, and a Pipe, and some fresh hot Buffalo stew for the Bear, for he had known of his comming, for he had seen it. So the Bear sat down and made himself comfortable, knowing that the Medicine Man would return sooner or later. While he waited, he ate, and then he smoked... As the Sacred Smoke curled about him, he said aloud, "Great Spirit, why am I so alone...?" And a voice spoke to him, "You miss your Love..."
"But where is my Love?" Asked the Bear. "Look within..." Spoke the voice, "You already know the answer. ... You love a Cherokee maiden, and she loves you. You have loved each other forever, in the Spirit World..." ..."But..." stammered the Bear, "But when?" "She will come to you when the time is right, when both of you are ready, until then, just be patient and wait..."
....To be continued....
